replace HD model A1502

I just need to replace the HD on my model A1502. I need tools to remove the torx screws and I need to buy a new hard drive.

There are a lot of choices...which one do I use?

If you check you will most likely find a SSD stick instead of a hard drive. Please give us the last four figures of your serial number so we know your exact machine as there are 9 different A1502 models. Also, why do you want to replace it?

G3QH need to repurpose but I must retain the old HD for legal reasons, hence need to put in new drive.

The MGX72LL/A configuration has 128 GB of flash storage. It is Apple Proprietary* (PCIe.) You will need to get it from Apple or possibly find one on eBay from someone that has upgraded. It will very high dollar, probably in the $750 range.

pwgailey, like mayer pointed out, it does not use a hard drive but an SSD. To replace it you will need a T5 TORX screwdriver and follow this guide.
